Skin Needling

Skin needling is an effective minimally invasive treatment that works by gently piercing the skin with micro-needles to stimulate collagen and elastin production. TREATMENT INFORMATION

  • A double cleanse followed by a sterilising process is performed on the skin. A sterile skin needling device is then used in conjunction with a hyaluronic acid serum to penetrate the microneedles into the skin at a depth of 0.25mm to 2mm whilst adding hydration and soothing the skin. This process feels like a vibration on the skin followed by warmth, taking approximately 30 minutes.

  • Generally suitable for nearly all ages and skin types, our dedicated skin experts conduct personalised skin analysis before your series of skin needling to be sure it is the most beneficial treatment for your skin concerns.

    Skin needling is not suitable for those who have open lesions or infections, uncontrolled diabetes, keloid scarring or cystic acne.

    We kindly ask to stop the use of Retinol/Vitamin A, Pure C + BHA, AHA’s and BHA’s, Exfoliators for 48 hours before and after treatment.

    We kindly ask you to stop taking blood thinners 48 hours before and after treatment unless medically necessary.

    Clients are required to prep their skin 2 weeks prior to their treatment with the correct O Cosmedics skin Care recommended to them by their professional skin therapist.

  • A course of 6-12 treatments are recommended, 4-6 weeks apart.

  • After a Skin Needling treatment, it is common to experience some redness, swelling, and warmth immediately after the procedure.

    In the days following your procedure, it is recommended to use only gentle skincare products and apply Mineral Pro SPF of 30+/50+ regularly to protect your treated skin.

    It is recommended to avoid make up for 24 hours post treatment however mineral make up can be applied if needed.

    Hot baths, showers, and saunas should be avoided for at least 3-5 days.

    We kindly ask to stop the use of Retinol/Vitamin A, Pure C + BHA, AHA’s and BHA’s, Exfoliators for 48 hours before and after treatment.

    We kindly ask you to stop taking blood thinners 48 hours before and after treatment unless medically necessary.

    Additionally, 3-5 days post-treatment you may notice dryness and flakiness as dead skin cells are stimulated upwards.

    Avoid picking at your skin and use the specific skincare recommended to you by your Profession Skin Therapist.
